The Conrad Moschel correspondence includes a manuscript letter from his granddaughter, Alice Moschel Yeakel, in which she describes how her grandfather came to the United States to settle in Douglas County and was killed by Native Americans (in 1864). File also contains the original envelope, a handwritten transcript of the letter, and one photocopy of a related news article. Moschel was an early Douglas County settler and there is a memorial in his name in Castlewood Canyon.
