Adolph Coors III Murder Investigation Collection, 1960-1961, contains original documents (and duplicates) about the investigation into the Adolph Coors III kidnapping and murder in 1960. One 2.5 inch three ring binder contains: reports from the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office, descriptions of suspect Joseph Corbett Jr., reports from Douglas County Sheriff's Office on the discovery of human remains near Shamballa, report from the Federal Bureau of Investigation, criminal complaints against suspect, warrants, letters about Life magazine photographs, interview notes, and interagency communications (total 58 pages); 42 photographs of suspect, victim remains, and site where remains located; and 12 color slides of victim remains and area where remains were located in Douglas County. Some staff collected materials were added to the initial donation including The Denver Westerners Roundup from 2010 with article "The Investigation into the 1960 Murder of Adolph Coors III" by Dennis L. Potter, original and photocopied newspaper clippings covering the case from 1960, 1996, and 2000, photocopied biographical information about Adolph Coors III and the Coors family, issue of 5280 magazine from February 2009 with article "Anatomy of a Murder," and photocopies of articles about books related to the case.
